Located in Chico CA, Affordable Automotive has been owned and operated by Mike Button since 1996. Our goal is to provide each customer the highest quality, honest and affordable repairs and service that their car, truck or SUV needs.

Our Mechanics
Affordable Automotive hires trained technicians and mechanics that stay on top of the latest technology in the automotive industry through ongoing schools and training. The shop takes pride in being up to date, clean and as efficient as possible to get your car, truck or SUV in and out as quickly as possible.
History of Affordable Automotive
In High School Mike took a shop class and had a knack for fixing cars. He did brake jobs and oil changes for the teachers at the school. After school he found himself working at a quick lube.
His father asked him what his long term plan was and by this time Mike was enjoying working on cars and had found that he wanted to go into business for himself doing this. He told him, “I want to own my own repair shop.”
So one day his dad walks in and hands him an ad for a tire shop up for sale. They scraped the money together and bought the shop. He started out doing basic repairs and tires, then added general repair and smog checks. Today the shop is a fullservice and complete auto repair center. They employ 2 service writers, 4 mechanics and have 7 bays. Mike prides himself on providing a fun, productive and rewarding work environment for his employees.
Mike and his wife are people that like to give back. They now enjoy being able to work with local charities and participate in community activities. He is proud that the shop is very well respected in the community. His wife has also been able to pursue her Masters degree and work with children – her passion.
